People usually ask me the same thing before we begin. Is this Reiki?
It's not. I want to be honest about that, and about something even more important: I'm not the one doing this work. I'm not using the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is using me. I'm a vessel, a tool the Lord decided He could work through, to be His hands and His heart, to help people find their blueprint. To find what they were made for. To live the life, the purpose, the dreams they were actually meant to have.
Almost everyone who finds me has already tried everything else. Doctors. Workouts. Diets. Gratitude journals. Counseling. Life coaches. And it's still not working. It's just not working.
Here's what I've come to understand about why: we are triune. Body, soul, spirit, not the Holy Spirit, but the spirit that was placed in us to connect with God. Scripture makes this distinction again and again, separating soul from spirit, heart from spirit, in the same breath, as if it were obvious. We're the ones who forgot. We split ourselves into three departments: the doctor gets the body, the therapist gets the mind, the church gets the spirit. And then we wonder why leaning hard into two out of three still leaves us falling over.
Think of a stool. Two strong legs and one neglected one isn't a stool anymore. It's just something waiting to tip.
I believe we were created for peace. Made for the Garden, a place with no stress in it at all. Our nervous systems were never actually built to carry what we ask them to carry now: the noise, the speed, the constant information, the grief and fear we swallow because there's nowhere to put it. So it doesn't disappear. It accumulates. And the body doesn't separate "soul stress" from "spirit stress" from "body stress." It's all running through the same nervous system, and that system starts to break under the weight. That's where I believe so much sickness actually begins. And I won't pretend the accumulation is only ever human. Sometimes there's more than stress attached to a person. Sometimes there's something darker that found its way in, and it needs to be named and released too.
In session, I bring a person into theta, that in-between place, past alert and even past simple relaxation, where the nervous system can actually reach toward the spiritual part of who we are. I don't do that. I just create the space for it. And when it happens, I believe God comes in, with Jesus, with the angels, and covers the room like a dome, filling it with something I can only describe as the frequency of Eden. Not right away. It takes a session or two before the body starts to recognize it. But once it does, it feels like a heavy blanket settling over you, and the nervous system finally, finally exhales.
That's when the real work starts. I don't go looking for everything in the first session. The temptation is there, but going too deep too fast can shock a system that's spent years protecting itself. So we scratch the surface first. We release what wants to be released. I look for what may have attached itself that shouldn't be there. And then I simply ask the Lord what else needs to be done.
I'm not diagnosing. I'm not treating. I'm listening, to Him, and to what your body has been trying to tell you all along.
