Rest and Release, a free morning for our networking group

Most of us who run something don’t know how to rest anymore. We close the laptop, and our minds keep working. We stop moving, and our bodies keep running. Somewhere along the way, the body learned that it wasn’t safe to put anything down.

This is a morning to put it down.

We’ll begin with a short time of grounding. Then you’ll lie down, covered and comfortable, and I’ll guide a short meditation to help you settle. From there it’s about an hour of quiet rest. I hold the room in prayer while your body does what it was built to do. When it’s time, I’ll bring you back slowly, in time to get on with your day.

I’m not going deep into anything specific in this setting, and I won’t be looking into your story. This is rest, release, and restore, together, in a room.

What to know

  • Tuesday, December 29, 8:30 to 10:00 am; doors open at 8:15 to get us settled

  • Kalina Creative Sanctuary, 120 N. Washington St., Papillion

  • Free for our networking group

  • Ten spots only, so reserve yours by December 22

  • Come in comfortable clothes you can rest in

  • Arriving before work? The restrooms are open if you’d like to change into something comfortable before we start, and change back afterward.

  • Please bring your own pillow and blanket. Most people rest more easily on their own. (I have a few extras if you forget.)

  • I have five exercise mats to share. If you have your own, bring it and leave a mat for someone else.

  • No experience needed, and nothing to prepare

  • I’ll have water available, or bring your own

Whether you feel a lot, a little, or nothing at all, it’s okay. Come tired. Come skeptical. Come with the to-do list still running in your head.

Take it or leave it. The door is open either way.
